Do you have what it takes to grow and succeed with us? why not join us

Do you think you have what it takes to grow and succeed with us? If so, why not join us? But before you do, find out a little more about what we are looking for in a candidate and the process for recruitment here.

Your resume will most likely be the first thing we see as a representation of you. Here are some tips to make it shine!

Put the most important information first Most of the time, your previous work experiences will be the most important part of your resume, so put it at the top. When you describe your experiences and skills in other parts of your resume, put the most important and relevant ones first.

Explain the benefits of your skills Don't just state your skills but explain how these skills can benefit our company. We want to know that your skills are translatable.

List achievements instead of responsibilities A list of responsibilities, while showing what you have done for your previous employers, is dull. A list of professional achievements shows that you are goal oriented and is better at selling your abilities.

Use numbers This goes along with the previous tip. If you are going to list your achievements, make them tangible achievements. Don't just mention that you've increased annual revenue. Give us the amount or percentage you improved it by. Numbers are your friends.

One or two pages Your resume should be one page or two pages at maximum. If you find that you are going over the two page mark, sit down and assess what you really need to include and what you do not. A lot of times you will find that there are things on your resume that might not apply to the job you are applying for. The shorter, the better.

Use action verbs Action verbs are verbs that will get noticed more easily and that will communicate your achievements more efficiently. You should always include these verbs in your resume.
Examples: managed, coached, planned, and researched.

Get someone else to review your resume You should always have a second or even third opinion about your resume. Having an extra set of eyes read over your resume can help you detect mistakes you might have glossed over. A good proofreader might be able to give solid suggestions on how you can improve your resume as well.

Make the design flow with white space Your resume should not be jammed with text. Make sure there is a good use of white space. It can be overwhelming and possibly illegible if there is not the proper amount of spacing between words, lines and paragraphs.

Use bullet points Resumes call for short, crisp and to-the-point statements. Bullet points help with this as you can keep your sentences short without worrying about fragments. Bullet points are also helpful for those reading your resume as it tends to stand out more than the same information contained within a paragraph.

Stay away from pronouns Eliminate pronouns like "I", "me" or "she" from your resume. This is how we normally construct sentences but since your resume is a professional document about yourself, it might be redundant to place these pronouns in it.

Bring multiple copies of your resume to the interview You never know who will ask you for your resume at your interview so it is always better to be over prepared with multiple copies than be underprepared.

Arrive at least 15 minutes ahead of time Timeliness is a very important factor when it comes to your interview. Come earlier than the time you are expected. Within 15 minutes of your interview is a good timeframe to arrive.

Dress in business formal attire You need to present yourself in the best light possible. This starts with the way you dress yourself. Make sure that you wear business attire that is clean and pressed. Also, stay away from too much jewellery and heavy perfume as it can be distracting

Do your homework on the business and the role you're interviewing for Research the role you will be interviewed for so that you know what will be required of you in the role and so that you can answer questions relating to the company and that role accordingly. Also, come up with a couple questions or statements related to the role. This proves your interest to the interviewer.

Be prepared to discuss past experiences, roles and responsibilities in detail Any work experiences or skills you have listed on your resume are fair game to talk about during your interview. Make sure that you are able to elaborate on anything you have written in your resume, even if it may have been something from many years back.

Practice how you will describe yourself beforehand There are questions that will inevitably be asked during your interview such as "Tell me about yourself" and "Why do you think you would be a good fit for this position?" Be prepared for these common questions by practicing the answers to them before you interview.

Smile and maintain good eye contact Smiling and a healthy amount of eye contact go a long way. Both acts show that you are friendly, welcoming and eager.
