PUMA hosted a panel in NYC to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month

October 19, 2021

We celebrated the HISPANIC HERITAGE MONTH by hosting a panel at our PUMA Flagship Store in New York City. The event was produced in collaboration with Spotify’s Employee Resource Group (ERG) Banda and was open to 100 guests. The event got supported by ambassadors of the PUMA Family including singer Danna Paola, tastemaker Upscale Vandal and gamer Erin Ashley Simon. They all came together to discuss the topic of how the Hispanic community is reinventing culture through fashion, art, and gaming. The 1-hour panel was moderated by Danielle Noriega, Partner Development at Facebook, and was live streamed for both PUMA and Spotify ERG members.

The discussion was followed by a performance from Danna Paola. Guests also enjoyed a live art piece painted on-site by Colombian painter, Andrea Acevedo, who also created an exclusive HISPANIC HERITAGE MONTH t-shirt. The t-shirt was sold throughout the month with proceeds going to Boricua College.

Lastly, five PUMA Latinx employees were featured alongside product they’ve helped design, sharing how their culture has influenced their craft.
