Target Audience and Goal Statement

This activity is intended for cardiologists, primary care physicians, neurologists, and nurses.

The goal of this activity is to educate clinicians on aspirin's role in primary and secondary prevention of cardiovascular (CV) disease, including the application of recent data and guideline recommendations.

Upon completion of this activity, participants will:

  • Have increased knowledge regarding the
    • Latest guidelines and recommendations on the use of aspirin in secondary CV prevention
    • Latest guidelines and recommendations on the use of aspirin in primary CV prevention
  • Have greater competence related to
    • Use of team-based strategies to tailor antiplatelet therapy for patients at risk in order to optimize cardioprevention
