Target Audience and Goal Statement

This activity is intended for a US and European audience of primary care physicians, psychiatrists, neurologists, and nurses.

The goal of this activity is that learners will be better able to personalize the selection of an appropriate pharmacotherapy for the management of insomnia.

Upon completion of this activity, participants will:

  • Have increased knowledge regarding the
    • Limitations of established pharmacotherapies for the management of insomnia
    • Differentiating factors between orexin-targeted medications
  • Have greater competence related to
    • Selection of an appropriate sleep-promoting agent for the management of insomnia
