Target Audience and Goal Statement

This activity is intended for primary care physicians, cardiologists, and nephrologists.

The goal of this activity is that learners will be better able to understand the reasons why blood pressure control is poor despite available antihypertensive medications.

Upon completion of this activity, participants will:

  • Have increased knowledge regarding the
    • Reasons for poor blood pressure control despite the availability of antihypertensive medications
    • Evidence from clinical trials for durability of reduction in blood pressure in patients with hypertension who undergo renal denervation
