Target Audience and Goal Statement

This activity is intended for European healthcare professionals, specifically oncologists, endocrinologists, and other members of the oncology care team who are managing patients with advanced DTC.

The goal of this activity is for learners to be better able to distinguish which patients are eligible for tyrosine kinase inhibitor therapy and to work as a part of a multidisciplinary team in the management of patients who are on therapy.

Upon completion of this activity, participants will:

  • Have increased knowledge regarding the
    • Identification of patients with radioactive iodine-refractory differentiated thyroid cancer (RAI-refractory DTC) who are candidates for systemic therapy
    • Current systemic treatment options for the first- and second-line management of RAI-refractory DTC
  • Have greater competence related to
    • Managing adverse events in patients undergoing treatment for RAI-refractory DTC
    • Providing additional supportive care for patients with RAI-refractory DTC
