Target Audience and Goal Statement

This activity is intended for psychiatrists, primary care physicians (PCPs), pediatricians, nurses, nurse practitioners (NPs), and physician assistants (PAs).

The goal of this activity is that learners will be better able to screen, diagnose, and treat bipolar disorder.

Upon completion of this activity, participants will:

  • Have increased knowledge regarding the
    • Recent clinical trial data on emerging and novel therapeutics indicated for bipolar disorders 
  • Have greater competence related to
    • Accurately identifying depressive episodes related to mood disorders across the spectrum
